Adventure Game Builder 5.2e for FM77AV
A downloadable asset pack for Windows
Adventure Game Builder for FM77AV/XM7
This software is a Windows application for creating nostalgic text-input adventure games that can be played on Fujitsu FM77AV20/40 systems or on the XM7 emulator. English Version
In this new release, games can run on both the actual FM77AV hardware and the XM7 emulator.
The generated .D77 files can be written to physical floppy disks for use on real hardware, or used directly in XM7.
【Features】
【High-Quality Graphics】
You can directly use 320×200 pixel, 24-bit bitmap images as your source artwork.
The system automatically selects the optimal 64 colors from the 4096-color palette based on each image.
Rendering speed on real hardware is approximately 7–8 seconds per screen.
【Scenario Creation】
A simple text-based editor is included.
During editing, scenes and images can be linked and visually previewed.
【Keyword Matching】
Player commands can be checked using either “Exact Match” or “Fuzzy Match” modes.
【Game Capacity】
The upper limit is whichever of the following is reached first:
A maximum of 255 floppy disks can be used
→ allowing for approximately 3,500 images in total.
Each scenario has a limit of approximately 15 KB, but up to 255 scenarios can be chained together.
While the only sound effects are simple “beeps pipipi” accompanying message displays, I hope you will enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of the early 1980s that this system is designed to evoke.
Verified Operating Environments
Windows 11 Home 24H2
FM77AV40SX
XM7 L77TXβ7 V3.4
Notes
Image compression is performed using Salvador zx0.
Warning: Intermediate files and .D77 files are not compatible with the previous3.0e version.
